Author Details

Chris Barash is a children’s writer with 20 hugely popular Jewish-themed children’s stories to her name, including Is It Hannukah Yet?, One Fine Shabbat, and Lights in the Night (Green Bean Books). Having graduated with a BA in Russian Literature and History, Chris spent 25 years teaching various elementary grades in Jewish day schools, going on to become Head of School at Sinai Academy of the Berkshires. Based in Western Massachusetts, Chris holds additional positions of responsibility with various charitable organisations, such as the Harold Grinspoon Foundation, where she is the PJ Library’s Director of Acquisitions and chair of the Book Selection Committee.
